Homemade Rocky Road Ice Cream and Spring Break at Last. Coronavirus Update - Day 34 and Counting....

Today was the first day it felt like Spring Break. It was a gorgeous day, so I wanted to take full advantage of that. We didn't have any cleaning or decorations to put away, which was such a relief. Once we were done with our normal morning chores and my walk, we were able to spend the rest of the day doing fun things. Miles invited me to sunbath with him int the backyard, after I arrived home from my walk. I ate my breakfast out there, under an umbrella and we just cuddled and talked. He was in heaven, as was I. The kids then played in the front yard. They rode their bikes and scooters; walked on stilts; went on the swings and monkey bars; and spent a long time playing silly games in the plants, like hide-and-go-seek. We then came in and had lunch. I made them homemade Mexican food, which they loved! It was a treat for us all. After that, we spent a few hours exploring our new, Disney streaming service. I was impressed by the content and felt good about our decision to sign up. We prepared and ate dinner together and then headed out for our walk, shortly before dusk. The highlight of the day however, was the homemade Rocky Road Ice Cream as well as Homemade Marshmallow Topping that the kids made and served. It was a two-day process. They started it yesterday, as a surprise for me, since they know it is my favorite flavor. f I couldn't believe how thoughtful it was of them to not only think of the idea but to find the recipe and go through the entire process of making it. What sweethearts! We enjoyed it after dinner tonight. It was divine and perfect for a warm evening.
